Kernlux Development Labs is a small studio that builds the apps a Linux desktop is missing.
Switching to Linux is easier than ever, but the last stretch is still rough: a dock that feels right, a safe way to install and remove software, a backup you trust, a way back when an update goes wrong. We build those pieces.
What we believe
- Software should be checked before you trust it. We read the licence and the install scripts before anything is offered.
- Every change should be reversible.
- Your computer is yours. No tracking, no lock-in.
- Credit where it is due. We build on the work of many open-source projects and say so, on our credits page.
The name
Kernlux joins kernel, the heart of the system, and lux, light. The mark is a crystal star made of two squares with a glowing core.
